NSW councils refused 1676 DAs in 2022-23 – mainly in Sydney, rejected at least twice the state average, a Sun-Herald analysis of NSW Planning Portal data reveals.
However according to the SMH Report, The Hills Shire assessed the most DAs last financial year (1573) with only 3% refusals.
